NCS2-POEIG402 & NCS2-POEIG802: Delivering Power Cable Efficiency and Deployment Convenience

Today sees the release of two F.A.S.T. solutions from the connectivity series the NCS2-POEIG402 and the NCS2-POEIG802. They both come in Lanner’s standard slim type NCS2 form factor, are built with Intel® I350-AM4 chipset and equipped with 4 and 8 PoE+ power output respectively.

PoE allows for both data connection and electric power, over one single cable, for enabling devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras and VoIP, delivering power cable efficiency and deployment convenience. 

Difference between PoE and PoE+ standards pertains to the amount of power delivered and it can be viewed in the table below.

Features offered by the NCS2-POEIG802 and the NCS2-POEIG402 are as followed:

1. Device auto-detection (PD)

2. Max. 8 or 4 PoE+ for up to 240W/120W total power

3. Configurable and manageable PoE power support

4. IEEE 802.3at standard compliance for 1000 BASE-T.

F.A.S.T. solutions are purpose-built modular kits developed for enhancing Lanner’s network computing appliances. These multi-functional modular kits come in the N2S, the N3S or the NCS2 form factor and aim to deliver flexibility, adaptability, scalability and transformability for all compatible appliances’ connectivity, storage and open compute capabilities.

F.A.S.T. connectivity series features support for 1G/10G/40G/100G Ethernet speeds in one or more modular slots; the modular kits can be retrofitted via either copper or fiber interface and are equipped with G3 copper and fiber bypass. Also featured are supports for TAP, POE functions, mini-PCIE slots for wifi/LTE connectivity and PCIE slots for other network options.
