A good year after its market launch, Netscale is enjoying great popularity in the Enterprise Data Center sector.
R&M, the globally active developer and provider of cabling systems for high-quality network infrastructures based in Wetzikon, Switzerland, is enjoying the increasing popularity of Netscale, its pioneering solution for data centers. Since being launched on the market over a year ago, there are already a number of companies using the solution which offers the highest packing density on the market. Netscale is particularly receiving great acclaim from large operators of Enterprise Data Centers. Over the last six months, large banks and insurance companies, chemical and pharmaceutical companies as well as manufacturers of luxury goods have decided to implement the trailblazing solution from R&M. The currently largest project is now being realized in the new airport in Istanbul. Due to the increasing volume of mobile communication, video and storage traffic, technologies are constantly being further developed to meet growing IT requirements. Cloud data centers are becoming larger and more and more companies are becoming interested in the idea of using cloud networks for their private clouds. Modular switches with a high port density are the building bricks of a modern cloud. The solution is impressive thanks to its outstanding packing density and is compelling with sophisticated rear cabling or trunk cable management. The new Netscale BCM (Blade Cabling Manager) introduced just a few weeks ago is specially designed for this and enables reliable and flexible management of the cable infrastructure throughout the entire data center. Alongside the superior packing density, handling is also ultra-convenient. While for example conventional LC connections are usually unlocked using a clip on the back of the plug, the LC Quick Release has a push/pull mechanism integrated in the housing that can be operated from the back. Locking and unlocking take place via the boot; connectors and adapters can be packed together more closely. “Netscale can support us in the fully automated operation of our cloud. As an innovative company, we are dependent on scalable fiber solutions for our data centers that can be deployed in confined spaces,” says Dr. Marius Feldmann, COO at Cloud&Heat.
