According to reports, Sony Group and Honda Motor are considering installing a PS5 in their forthcoming electric vehicle with an entertainment focus (EV). Izumi Kawanishi, President of Sony Honda Mobility, asserts that it is “technologically conceivable” for Sony to integrate the PlayStation 5 platform into the vehicle it intends to create with Honda.
According to Yasuhide Mizuno, chairman of Sony Honda Mobility, the objective is to “create a car as hardware that will cater to the entertainment and network we would like to deliver. In order to appreciate the space in your automobile, you must make it a place where you aren’t required to drive. He added that it will take some time to achieve this.”
In June, the businesses came together to form a new business that would sell highly-valued electric vehicles and offer mobility services. The first electric vehicles from Sony Group and Honda Motor will be delivered in the United States in 2026, with pre-orders starting in 2025, according to plans made public in October of this year.
The newly formed joint venture aims to combine the skills of Sony and Honda.
The PS5 DualSense Edge is currently available for pre-order in India. Prior to its global release on January 26, 2023, almost all merchants of the PS5 and its accessories have made the new wireless controller available on their websites.
While the pre-order window opened in India around a month later than it did in the US and other regions, Sony is releasing the new DualSense Edge wireless controller there at the same time as it is in other countries.
Games The Shop, Amazon India, e2z Store, ShopAtSC, and Sony Center all have the Sony PS5 DualSense Edge in stock and ready for pre-order. ShopAtSC reports that the new wireless controller will start to be delivered on January 26, 2023. However, given the circumstances, delivery may be put off in India, much like the replaceable module stick, which was due to go up for pre-order in October but has yet to appear.
