The New York Institute of Finance recently announced the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Professional Certificate for completing an Xseries, a sequence of related modules, on the edX platform. An XSeries is a group of courses that add up to a rich understanding of an area of study. Once a learner passes the entire series, they receive a personalized XSeries shareable certificate to prove the work they’ve put in and the understanding they hold over the subject.
Taught by instructors with decades of experience on Wall Street, this series by New York Institute of Finance will equip analysts and associates with the skills they need to rise in the M&A field. Directors and managers who have transitioned, or hope to transition, to M&A from other areas, such as equities or fixed income, can use these courses to eliminate skill gaps.
The M&A Professional Certificate, starting in September 2015, is presented in five self-paced modules –
- M&A Professional Certificate Part 1 – Concepts and Theories: An Introduction
- M&A Professional Certificate Part 2 – Concepts and Theories: Advanced Topics
- M&A Professional Certificate Part 3 – Structuring the Deal
- M&A Professional Certificate Part 4 – Free Cash Flow: A Powerful Decision-Making Metric
- M&A Professional Certificate Part 5 – Accounting for Mergers & Acquisitions
- M&A Professional Certificate Part 6 – Examination
Those participants who pass the Examination (Part 6) will receive an accredited certificate bearing the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) name. A NYIF certificate, highly valued in the finance industry, will bolster a resume or LinkedIn profile and prove the skills to one’s potential employers. Each course costs about Rs. 3300, and requires an effort of 1-2 hours per week.
