Previous rumours indicated that Nokia will launch a 25.4-cm (10-inch) Windows RT tablet at the MWC next year.
A Korean online forum posted alleged pictures of Nokia’s 25.4-cm (10-inch) tablet running Windows RT, which now stands cancelled. The pictures appeared online on Naver Cafe forum and were first noticed by The Verge, which reported that the tablet has been cancelled quoting internal sources. The report indicates that Nokia will now introduce a Windows 8 tablet in its place.
The alleged pictures of the tablet show a magnetic connector just like the one used in Microsoft’s Surface tablets and on Apple MacBooks. The person who posted these pictures claimed he was gifted the tablet from someone working at Nokia. It bore model number ‘Nvidia P1001,’ which is the kind of the processor that powers the tablet.
The alleged tablet seems to be powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. The forum posts also indicate that the tablet has HDMI and USB ports in addition to a SIM card slot positioned near headphone jack. It also mentioned that the tablet provides support for LTE connectivity. However, Nokia has restrained from commenting on this matter.
