NSDC is a one-of-its-kind, Public Private Partnership (PPP) model in India, under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). It aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions
The Delhi-NCR based IT Solution enterprise Delta IT Network (DITN) has been roped in for delivering skilling infrastructures. DITN will invest Hewlett Packard (HP) Tech compute products & hardware for skill centres in association with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) across India. It will supply high spec compute products such as – Laptops, Servers, Printers and Wi-Fi Access Points along with Delta View Flat Panels for imparting education.
“HP machines are most suitable for Indian youth and in the education sector. Sturdy Laptops have been specked keeping in mind the developments in the education sector and in up skilling Indians required with the country/s development.” said Anupam Gupta, Govt Team of HP India.
General Manager DITN, Sunil Yadav, told the media, “NSDC is coming up with branches on a pan-India basis and are deputing their employees to skill youth available in the rural areas, mainly tier 2 and 3 cities. In the initial stages, we have executed a youth project providing HP India machines. Our team managed the project for their end to end last mile deliveries and implementation”
He said under this programme, NSDC will train youth both men and women, at 14-15 branches across the country. “The branches are situated mostly in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Gujarat and a few in South India, at Hyderabad and Bangalore,” Yadav concluded.
According to DITN, the principal requirement for skill development includes high-end HP laptops. “Our initial deployment included 140 Machines that were delivered in December 2023. The rest of the equipment for their various infrastructures will be provided in over four to five-months” said Deepika Yadav, DITN’s Key Account Manager for NSDC.
HP offers the latest technology, which is going to be used for NSDC youth in-house training and implementation programmes.
Apart from HP Tech products, Delta View flat panels will also meet for the NSDC infrastructure solutions.
Asked about the profile of the students enrolled at the skill centres – Yadav said that students within the age group of 18-25 age brackets both in boys and girls were expected to benefit. Many of these students come from a background such as Poly-Technique and Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
According to Deepanshu Chauhan, CEO, DITN, shared that the technology delivered for NSDC is targeted for an overall development, He said “NSDC has a national-level cloud platform where all content and training material is available and to access that content in tier 2-3 cities, it requires high specification machines so that the software can run on those machines seamlessly,”
Adding to the ease of work and longevity of machines – is what makes the investment on HP Tech Installations most suitable for young Indians , along with standard warranties, upgraded security features, that are important in today’s data protection and cybercrime, Chauhan shared.
