Former Apple CEO John Scully’s smartphone venture, Obi Mobiles has launched its first device in the Indian market. Obi Mobiles’ Octopus S520 smartphone will be totally available via e-commerce website SnapDeal at a price tag of Rs 11,990.
The Octopus S520 smartphone features a 12.7-cm (5-inch) HD IPS present with a 720×1280 pixels decision. It is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor attached with 1GB of RAM. It sports an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. It comes with 8GB of integral storage flexible via a microSD card slot. The dual-SIM device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB 2.0. It decks in an 1800mAh battery.

The phone will be supported by a country wide network of over 95 service centres for after sale support, claims Obi Mobiles.
