Olympus has announced its latest camera in the OM-D series at 
Photokina 2016. The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II is equipped with dual fast AF enabling users to set an optimal contrast AF and an On-chip Phase Detection AF. It also features a high-performance TruePic VII image processor, making it a Compact System Camera with a pro-level performance.
Under the hood, the camera includes a TreuPic VIII Image Processor with four computing and processing cores which claim to offer up to 3.5 times faster performance as compared to its predecessors in the TruePic series. The device has a 20.4MP Live MOS sensor with which the company claims to offer a 25% higher resolution.
New shooting specifications in the OM-D E-M1 Mark II include:
– Pro Capture mode – for lag-free shooting helping users capture fleeting moments with clarity.
– 50MP High Resolution Shot Mode – for images which, as per the company, will offer ‘incredible detail’ rivalling that of full-frame DSLRs.
– 5-Axis Image Stabilization – the in-body apparatus offsets the effect of a camera shake in all of its forms.
The OM-DE-M1 Mark II also has dual memory card slots to store all images and videos. Backed by a 1,720 mAh battery, it charges 50% faster as compared to cameras launched earlier.
The company is also offering some additional accessories, which users can add. The accessories include:
– Power Battery Holder HLD-9 – Comes equipped with an arrow pad, two Control Dials, and two function buttons, to maintain near identical controls whether the camera is held in a vertical or horizontal position.
– Electronic Flash FL-900R – A clip-on flash with the highest sequential shooting and tracking performance in its class at 10 fps. Also contains a built-in LED light for recording movies.
– Release Cable RM-CB2 – Available with a pin jack terminal (2.5mm diameter) and a bulb lock for long exposures on a tripod.
