OnePlus 3 , rumoured to be launching sometime in Q2 this year , is in the spotlight once again. This time the company’s co-founder Liu Zuohu has posted an image on Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo, claiming to have captured it using the upcoming smartphone’s front camera.
The selfie of the company co-founder is shot in a slightly dim-lit environment and appears a bit edited as well. Although the company has not mentioned any specifications of the smartphone yet, the image shot by the OnePlus 3’s front-facing camera has a resolution of 2,448 x 3,264 pixels, implying an 8MP front sensor. We are expecting more details about the handset to follow as the launch date draws close.
OnePlus 3’s launch this year, will be a VR launch just like its predecessor. For the launch, the company will be offering next-gen Loop VR headsets at just Re 1 to its fans in India.
The company announced this while thanking its users in India. “Also, more importantly, I’d like to thank you all for the tremendous support and feedback you’ve given us ever since our foray into the country in December 2014. This is what makes OnePlus unique – we are deeply attached to our community and that is why, India, along with other global markets will get to witness the same awesome experience as anywhere else. As a thank you to our community, we are also giving away our next-gen Loop VR headsets at just Re 1,” said the company in a statement.
OnePlus Loop VR headsets have reportedly been developed with AntVR, which also provides headsets for Lenovo devices.
