OnePlus fans, the D-day is almost here. The Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus is set to unveil its next flagship smartphone OnePlus 5 globally on Tuesday June 20. The upcoming smartphone’s registrations have crossed 5.25 lakh in China. The company is taking registrations for the smartphone on the Chines website JD.com in China. The smartphone is likely to go on sale in select markets on Tuesday. As for India, the smartphone is reported to be be exclusively go on sale on Amazon India’s e-commerce website staring Thursday (June 22). The company also teased OnePlus 5 in TV ads during the recent India-Pakistan ICC Cup final. OnePlus said in a tweet, “Caught our ad during the #IndvsPak match? Tweet a screenshot of your favourite moment with #OnePlus5Launch & get a chance to win the phone!” The upcoming OnePlus 5 is speculated to sport dual-rear cameras with a zoom lens, similar to Apple iPhone 7. It is powered with Qualcomm’s current flagship processor Snapdragon 835. The new flagship smartphone will be available in two variants: 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB. As for price, speculations suggest 64GB variant to be priced at Rs 32,999 and 128GB variant to be priced at Rs 37,999. At this price, OnePlus 5 will be the company’s most expensive flagship smartphone to launch in India so far. The company’s current generation flagship OnePlus 3T launched at Rs 29,999 onwards in December 2016.
