OnePlus 5T Lava Red Limited Edition launched in India, to go on sale starting January 20

As promised Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has launched the Lava Red Limited Edition of its flagship smartphone OnePlus 5T in India today. The smartphone can be exclusively purchased from Amazon India website starting January 20, 2018.

It is available only in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage with the original price tag of Rs 37,999. As part of the launch offers, the company is giving discounts on Amazon Kindle books, cashback of Rs 250 as Amazon Pay balance, 12 months free damage protection from Kotak and 1008GB 4G data offer for the period of 18 months from Idea Cellular.

The handset maker has already launched the same variant in China last year in November.For those unaware, the OnePlus 5T comes with a bezel-less display. It is the first OnePlus smartphone to sport a 6.1-inch full optic AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display of the device is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.

The device runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and the company will soon roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update for the same. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage variants 64GB and 128GB. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.

The smartphone is also the first from the company to feature face unlock feature. The OnePlus 5T users can unlock the smartphone using their face with the help of the front camera. The smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup with 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 with 1.12-micron pixels at the back with an aperture of f/1.7. The front of the device houses a 20MP shooter with Sony IMX376K sensor. It is backed by a 3300mAh battery which is comes with the support of company fast charging technology Dash charging.
