OnePlus 5T Lava Red Variant to go on sale in India today: Price, launch offers and more

If you have been holding back on buying a OnePlus 5T because the existing colour variants do not excite you, today is your lucky day. The OnePlus 5T’s Lava Red variant is set to go on sale in India for the first time today. The unique shade will go on sale on Amazon India as well as OnePlus’s online store from 12PM IST. The smartphone will also be available via OnePlus experience zones in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru and Mumbai as well as select Croma stores.
The Lava Red variant is only available in the 8GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage configuration and has been priced at Rs 37,999 – same as the original OnePlus 5T. Apart from the unique colour, the smartphone has the same specifications and features as the standard OnePlus 5T.
OnePlus has a few launch offers lined up for early adopters:
– Those who purchase the smartphone via OnePlus’s online store can avail three and six months EMI via Bajaj FinServe.
– Amazon is offering zero-cost EMI as well as cashback worth Rs 2,000 on exchange of any old smartphone.
– Cashify is offering a Rs 2,000 buyback bonus for OnePlus 5T Lava Red customers.
– Amazon is also offering additional benefits of Rs 1,500 for HDFC credit and debit card users.
To recall, the OnePlus 5T comes with a 6.01-inch display with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio, thinner bezels and a resolution of 1080 x 2160 (FullHD +). The smartphone looks more or less similar to the OnePlus 5 save for thinner bezels up front and the relocation of the fingerprint sensor to the rear panel.
The OnePlus 5T is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 6/8GB of RAM, the Adreno 540 GPU and a 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charge support. On the imaging front, the smartphone comes with a dual camera setup at the rear – a 16MP primary sensor (f/17) paired with a 20MP secondary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7 and a 1 micron pixel size for superior low light photography. It also comes with facial recognition support.
