OnePlus 5T went on sale in India couple of days ago but only for select users. Now, the device is ready to go on open sales this Friday (November 24). This means anyone planning to buy the smartphone can do so online or offline. The smartphone will be available from Amazon India and OnePlusstore.in websites.
The 6GB RAM+64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 32,999 and the 8GB RAM+128GB internal storage variant will bear the price tag of Rs 37,999.
The OnePlus 5T has quite a lot of similarities with the OnePlus 5 including some key specs – such as processor, storage, RAM and battery — as well as price. Powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, the smartphone like the OnePlus 5, is backed by a 3300mAh battery along with the support for Dash charging tech. In terms of differences, the OnePlus5T has a 6.01-inch full HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) Optic Amoled display with a pixel density of 401ppi, It has a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. As for camera, the device has a dual rear camera setup and includes a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor along with f/1.7 aperture and a 20MP Sony IMX376K camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and dual LED flash. At the front there is a 16MP Sony IMX 371 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
There is also a Face Unlock feature that the company claims uses over 100 facial features identity points to unlock the smartphone in 0.4 seconds.
The OnePlus 5T runs OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. At the launch the company announced that both the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T will soon get Android Oreo OS version in open beta.
Although the company did not reveal the exact date when the two smartphones will be getting the OS version, it said that OnePlus 5T will get Android O early next month.
