The latest version of Android operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop, is slowing paving its way across handsets worldwide. Latest figures have showed that the new version of Android has not even achieved a share of 0.1 per cent among devices. The next in the line to get the Android update are OnePlus One users.
Cyanogen founder Steve Kondik has revealed to Android Central that a stable Lollipop version of CyanogenMod 12 will arrive in OnePlus One smartphones next month. The experimental builds are already present and users who love to engage in adventures, have also downloaded this build. But now it’s time for the final release. If you are an OnePlus One user, which has been recommended by experts for its performance and price, then Android 5.0 will offer a much better experience for you certainly.
In India some licensing issues are going on between Cyanogen and OnePlus. Thereafter OnePlus is now working on their own Android fork, which might be used in the OnePlus Two, whenever it launches. The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update is coming with patches for serious Android 5.0 bugs like random crashes, Wi-Fi issues and poor battery life. The latest update will feature customisation for vibrator intensity, on-screen capacitive options, notification light options, colour enhancement, privacy guard etc.
When users opt for the update, they need to make sure that at least 80% battery is charged to prevent unwanted disruptions. Data and settings should be backed up properly and the USB drivers status should also be checked. After the installation is complete, the device will require a complete reboot which may take around five minutes.
