ITVoice News: The Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is expected to release its OnePlus One smartphone in India during December this year. As per the recent reports, the company is occupied in talks with different e-retailers, to partner for the sale of OnePlus One smartphone.
As mentioned in The Economics Times, Carl Pei, director, OnePlus Global said, “India is a super-hot market with rapid data growth and this is the right time to enter the market. We are talking to all three leading e-commerce players in India to start our operations. We hope to finalise our partner this week.”
The company recently made an announcement on its online forum that it has already hired an executive to look after its operations in India. OnePlus One smartphone was originally released in April this year. The smartphone features, 13.97-cm (5.5-inch) full HD screen. It is powered by 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and is backed by 3GB RAM and 16/ 64GB of internal storage space.
The smartphone supports 13MP rear camera, 5MP front shooter and 3100 mAh battery and it runs on Android 4.4-based CyanogenMod 11s, supporting the usual connectivity options. The price of the smartphone is expected to be around Rs. 20,000. According to the reports, the company will first release the 64GB variant, followed by the 16GB variant of the smartphone.
