OnePlus rolls out Android Nougat 7.1.1 update to OnePlus 3 and 3T users
One Plus recently rolled out OxygenOS 4.1.3 OTA for One Plus 3T and the OnePlus 3 users globally. One of the highlights of the update is the camera video stabilisation. Some of the other features users will get in the update deals with wireless connectivity and bug fixes. The OxygenOS 4.1.3 enhances the handsets’ ability to take pictures of moving objects with blur reduction, video stability when recording, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity. The version also fixes the Instagram swiping bug, hardware buttons malfunction bug along with increased system stability. On its blog, OnePlus cautions that users may still face the Bluetooth logging issue. “For those experiencing bluetooth logging issue on previous 7.1.1 builds, you can free up your storage space by deleting the oem_log folder. Please go to File manager > Storage > oem_log > Delete ,” says the company in the post. Users who have not received the update so far need not worry, as the OTA update is incremental. This means all OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users will not be getting the update at one go. The company is also said to be working on its OnePlus 3T successor, widely dubbed as OnePlus 5. Latest rumours about the alleged OnePlus flagship smartphone suggest that it will sport minimal bezels, offering better screen-to-body ratio. Speculations also suggest that the smartphone will be missing out on the fingerprint embedded button on front, similar to Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone unveiled recently. The fingerprint sensor is said to be placed at the back, around centre of the smartphone. The smartphone is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with a massive 8GB RAM. So far, only Asus (among the major smartphone brands in the world) has launched an 8GB smartphone, dubbed Zenfone AR. For those unaware, the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T come with 6GB RAM. As for the display, the device is rumoured to flaunt a 5.5-inch QHD resolution display, which will be a bump up from the full-HD display found in the current flagship OnePlus 3T. Some of the other specifications include 3000mAh battery and 23MP dual lens camera with optical image stabilisation and optical zoom. The smartphone is said to be 7mm thin, which is slimmer than the iPhone 7 Plus, Galaxy S8 and LG G6.
