Oppo A79 smartphone with bezel-less 6-inch display launched in China
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has expanded its product line-up with the launch of Oppo A79 smartphone in China. The company has priced the smartphone at 2,399 Yuan and it will go on sale in the country starting December 1. The smartphone is up for pre-order on the company’s official website in China, available in Black and Champagne colour options.
The Oppo A79 comes with a full screen display supporting 18:9 aspect ratio. The device sports a 6-inch FHD display with 1,080×2,160 pixel resolution. The screen is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass and has minimal bezels on the sides. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P23 processor. It offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage, which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The device sports a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture accompanied with LED flash. There is also a 16MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture for seflies.
The smartphone is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery that comes with company’s own fast charging technology called VOOC. In terms of connectivity the device offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Last month, Oppo launched its flagship smartphone F5 in India at Rs 19,999. The USP of the device is its 20MP front camera with AI support. The selfie camera of the smartphone is powered with AI beauty recognition technology, which can scan up to 200 facial recognition spots helpful in beautifying the selfie. The front shooter can also capture selfies with bokeh effect and can users can use it to unlock the device.
Over that, the Oppo F5 comes with a 6-inch touch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P23 processor and runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system out of the box.
