The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has announced to launch its own E-store in India. The step is being seen in wake of the company’s efforts to increase its market share in the world’s second-largest smartphone market.
The step is announced amid the surging cases of covid in the country again. The store will be operational on May 7th. The consumers will have the freedom to buy any of the company’s branded products from its online store while staying at their home safely. The store will offer a premium shopping experience to its customers.
Oppo is one of the leading smartphone manufacturers from China. In recent years the company has increased its presence in the Indian market as well. According to Counterpoint Research, Oppo’s market share in the Indian smartphone market was 10% in the last quarter of the year 2020.
With over 60000 sales points and 180 retail outlets in India, Oppo already has a strong offline presence in India. Now with the launch of an E-Store, it will further solidify its position in the market. Additionally, it will ensure that the latest products of the company are accessible to everyone with a single click. It will deliver products all over India.
OPPO India CMO, Damyant Singh Khanoria in a statement said, “The launch of the OPPO e-store is a big leap in increasing our Omnichannel retail presence. We’re focusing on further strengthening our online and offline presence equally. This platform will empower users to stay connected in these difficult times by enabling access to innovative technology from the comfort of their homes”
