Oppo F5 Sidharth Limited Edition with 20MP selfie camera to launch in India soon

Chinese smartphone maker launched its flagship smartphone Oppo F5 in India last year. The company has now announced that it will soon launch the Sidharth Limited Edition – after its brand ambassador actor Sidharth Malhotra — of the smartphone in India soon. The company has shared a teaser video on its Twitter handle hinting the launch. Recently, Oppo also shared in image on Twitter hinting about the date of the launch.

The tweet shared by the company reads, “Just one day left for the grand launch of #OPPOF5 Sidharth Limited Edition. We are extremely excited, are you? Stay tuned for more updates! #CaptureTheRealYou.”

The Oppo F5 comes in two variants – 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM priced at Rs 19,990 and 24,990 respectively. Presently, the handset comes in Black, Gold and Red colour options and the upcoming Sidharth Limited Edition is Blue in colour. All the other features and specifications of the device remains the same.

For those unaware, the USP of Oppo F5 is its selfie camera. The smartphone houses a 20MP front shooter which is powered by AI beauty recognition technology. The front camera is capable of scanning up to 200 facial recognition spots that helps in beautifying the selfie. Along with this, the users can also capture bokeh selfies using the camera. Along with this, they can also use it to unlock the smartphone. There is also a 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and LED flash.

The smartphone is powered by a 2.5GHz MediaTek Helio P23 processor paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. The device offers 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.

The dual SIM handset comes with dual SIM functionality and runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system topped with Color 3.0 UI layer of the company. The device sports a 6-inch full view display with1080x2160 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. Measuring 156.5 x 76 x 7.5mm, the handset comes equipped with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and packs a 3200mAh battery.

In terms of connectivity it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
