Pakistani Hackers Attack Gujarat Government Websites, Defame PM Modi
Two Gujarat government websites have reportedly become vulnerable to some Pakistan-based hackers, who call themselves ‘Pakistan Cyber Mafia Hackers’. Apart from the government websites, three other websites were also hacked by the same group. They posted derogatory remarks about Indian PM Narendra Modi on the home pages.
The two hacked government websites include the official website of Commissionerate of Higher Education – ‘www.egyan.org.in’ and the official website of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee of Ahmedabad (APMC) – www.apmcahmedabad.com. The other websites are www.delhi-pharma. com, www.listtopcolleges.in and www.atnnetwork.in. The sites got posted with the hackers’ logo and messages like “Hacked by Pakistan Cyber Mafia Hackers”, “Feel the power of Pakistan”, “Pk_Robot was here” and “Pakistan Zindabad”.
An APMC official, Ketan Patel said that as soon as hacking of the website was sensed, they shut down the website for maintenance purposes. The derogatory remarks were also immediately removed and then they relaunched the website. Gujarat government also took necessary steps to clean up its website. Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that the page with malicious content was removed and now the website has been launched once again.
