New courses will inspire college students to build innovative information security solutions for the marketplace
Paladion Networks, a globally acclaimed cyber security provider, is partnering with Karnataka’s leading engineering college MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences to launch an M Tech program in Cyber security and Information Assurance. The course is a first-of-its-kind in India and aims to fill the talent crunch in the information security space.
The Curriculum is co-designed and co-administered by MSRUAS and Paladion Networks jointly, which will bring select experts from Paladion as visiting faculties to impart the most up-to-date knowledge in information security. The course will also give students access to Paladion labs and cyber security intelligence amassed from its various cyber security centers. On successful completion of the course, students would be absorbed into Paladion Networks and placed in any of its global offices. An aptitude test and interview will be part of the selection process.
Speaking on the association, Dr. Jagan Vaman, Executive VP – Corporate Development & Strategy, from Paladion Networks said, “Digitization and the internet economy are fuelling the need for cyber security professionals at an exponential rate. Cyber Security talent, however, is scarce, and is unable to fill this need. Our partnership with MSRU for the M. Tech course in Cyber Security is designed to cater to this growing need. The course is designed in such a way that the students would have hands-on exposure to unique and up-to-date cyber security software and practices, so they are equipped with the right tools and knowledge to combat today’s sophisticated cyber threats.”
