PFSweb, Inc. (Nasdaq: PFSW), an international provider of end-to-end eCommerce solutions, and transcosmos inc. (TSE:9715) (“TCI”), today announced that they will conduct a seminar series for business leaders in Japan and China on trends and best practices in eCommerce. The seminars in both countries, to be held in Osaka on July 9, Tokyo on July 10, and Shanghai on July 12 will feature a presentation by PFSweb CEO Mike Willoughby on strategies for Asian brands to successfully expand their eCommerce presence into the United States, Europe and Canada. He will also discuss how global brands can leverage PFSweb’s iCommerce solution in Japan and China to reach consumers in this important and rapidly growing eCommerce market.
With the U.S. eCommerce market set to exceed $250 billion by the end of 2013 and with U.S., European and Canadian eCommerce markets expected to continue to grow at rates that will outpace retail in general in those markets, the time is right for leading Asian brands to enter these markets with a strong eCommerce brand presence,” said Mike Willoughby, CEO of PFSweb. “Through the strategic relationship with TCI that we announced on May 15, PFSweb is well-positioned to immediately serve current and prospective TCI clients in Asia by leveraging its existing iCommerce omni-channel solution to launch their brands in North America and Europe. We also look forward to working with TCI to leverage their mature presence and partner network in Japan and China as we deploy our iCommerce solution in those markets in support of our current and prospective global clients with program launches beginning in 2014.
