PhonePe has partnered with renowned Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan to introduce a unique celebrity voice feature for its SmartSpeakers. This feature enables PhonePe SmartSpeakers across India to use Mr. Bachchan’s distinctive voice to confirm customer payments, initially available in Hindi and English, with plans to expand to other languages.
SmartSpeakers have gained popularity, with over 19,000 postal codes and 100 crore transactions facilitated across India. The addition of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s voice aims to enhance the payment experience for both merchants and customers.
To activate Mr. Bachchan’s voice:
1. Open the PhonePe for Business App.
2. Navigate to the SmartSpeaker section on the home screen.
3. Under ‘My SmartSpeaker,’ select ‘SmartSpeaker Voice.’
4. Choose Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s voice in your preferred language.
5. Click ‘Confirm’ to activate the voice.
6. Your device will reboot with the updated language in Mr. Bachchan’s voice within a few hours.
