Digital illustration software company Procreate is set to release Procreate Dreams, a new 2D animation app for iPad, designed to make animation more accessible to users of all experience levels.
Procreate Dreams will be available for a one-time purchase of $19.99, a departure from the subscription pricing models commonly found in the industry.
The app includes tools like Performing, which enables users to add keyframes in real time using gestures, and a Multi-touch Timeline for drawing, cel animation, keyframing, video editing, and compositing.
The Flipbook tool is designed for creating looping GIFs and character animations, and the app supports importing ProRes footage for rotoscoping.
Procreate Dreams also features a new audio engine for adding sound to animated projects and supports all brushes from the original Procreate app. The app will be available on November 22, 2023.
