Rajan Bhandari to spearhead Hitachi Systems’ sales function
Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic has bolstered its leadership ranks with the appointment of Rajan Bhandari as its President – Sales. Rajan has been previously associated with the leading global enterprises such as HP and Oracle, and brings over 18 years of in-depth industry proficiency to the organization. He will be responsible for managing the Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic’s regional business in the North and the East as well as the Country Government Sales division in his role. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Bharti Vidyapeeth, Pune, and an MBA from Singhad Institute of Business Administration and Research, Rajan has held various leadership roles in his professional tenure. He started his career with Hewlett-Packard India Sales Pvt. Ltd, rising to the position of Country Manager before joining Oracle as its Director – Technology Sales. Speaking on the appointment, Tarun Seth, Managing Director, Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic, said, “Rajan is a professional with an intrinsic knowledge of the sales function within the IT industry, as can be demonstrated by his achievements and past associations. My prime objective would be to build IPs around Mobility and creating focussed solutions for education, health, banking and telecom industries to help develop Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic into a Rs.1,000-crore organization within the next three years.” Rajan was responsible for HP India’s PSG business for the overall Government segment, including the Public Sector units. As the Head of Oracle’s Application Business, he grew the ERP SAAS business significantly in FY 15 and closed the largest SAAS deals in APAC. Furthermore, as the key figure in the Oracle Technology Business division, he was integral in establishing the Oracle Engineered Systems business in North India and played a key part in growing its technology business vertical manifold. With an aim to transform Hitachi Systems Micro Clinic into one of the most-trusted and niche Sis in the domain of Cloud Services (IAAS, PAAS and SAAS) for customers and OEMs, Rajan plans to increase the company’s dominance in government business.
