R&M introduced Compact RJ45 Coupler for 10 Gigabit Ethernet
R&M, the globally active developer and provider of cabling systems for high-quality network infrastructures, based in Wetzikon, Switzerland, is extending its range for LAN cabling with a high-performance RJ45 coupler. The RJ45 coupler Cat. 6A /s supports the fastest data transmission office and building networks with structured copper cabling can achieve today. It enables fully viable network operation with 10 Gigabit/s Ethernet. The coupler is suitable for all typical applications in local data networks and, in addition, for operating Power over Ethernet (PoE).
With the short design of 27 mm, this is the most compact RJ45 coupler on the market. Thanks to the special design, the coupler, made of diecast aluminum, fits in all patch panels, outlets and distribution boxes in the R&M range for copper cabling. It is simple to click in to sockets with a Direct Attached (DA) interface. This contributes to miniaturization and supports top packing densities. R&M offers Keystone, No. 1 and snap in adapters for platforms with other interfaces. This means the Cat. 6A /s coupler can be combined with virtually every RJ45 holder and used everywhere.
The universal Cat. 6A /s RJ45 coupler from R&M is suitable for challenging tasks in local data networks. It supports all transmission classes up to 10 Gigabit/s Ethernet and PoE. It is currently the most compact RJ45 coupler on the market.
The Cat. 6A /s coupler fulfills the requirements of the Class EA Channel and Permanent Link in compliance with the ISO/IEC 11801 standard. The RJ45 coupler supports PoE together with R&M PowerSafe* patch cords up to a performance level of 90 Watts (4PPoE) in compliance with IEEE802.3bt.
RJ45 couplers are used to connect patch cords with one another. This results in a number of different possibilities of use. This is how to extend or adapt cabling links on office floors in a flash with an additional patch cord without elaborate installation work.
The coupler is also ideal for doing away with special CP cables with a plug and a jack at the ends in consolidation points and cross-connects. These connections can be created quickly and flexibly with couplers and patch cords using the plug & play procedure. Connections of network components with a rear output interface can be mirrored to the cabinet front simply with couplers. Using the RJ45 coupler in connection with a patch cord is a good idea wherever a jack cannot be connected or would not make any sense.
