The company via its Redmi account shared that the Redmi Note 8 series was the 2nd highest selling smartphone series in the world in the 1st half of 2020. The sales data for the Redmi Note 9 series was given by an autonomous analyst and Omdia. The Redmi Note 8 series was presented in the month of August of 2019 and by May 2020, the series saw more than 30 million units sold worldwide.

The company kicked off its Redmi Note series in the year, 2014 and has presented 9 Redmi Note series till now, the Redmi Note 9 is being the latest one. The Weibo post further shared that the Redmi Note 8 series has become the 2nd highest selling smartphones in the 1st half of 2020 universally. This sales data was provided by Omdia.
The Note 8 series has the Note 8, Note 8 Pro, and the Note 8T. Back in the month of May of 2020, Note 8 and Note 8 Pro smartphones saw more than 30 million in unit sales worldwide. The Redmi Note 9 series has the Note 9, 9 Pro, and the Note 9 Pro Max, but the company did not give any sales numbers for the Note 9 series.
