In a move to strengthen its academic portfolio, Rockstand, the leading EBooks and E-Magazines mobile application available on Android, IOS & Windows platforms today announced its tie up with Wiley Publication India. Through this alliance Rockstand will have an access to over 50 academic and exam preparatory titles of Wiley.
Commenting on the association with Wiley, Mr. Praveen Rajpal, CEO, Rockstand said, “Our eBooks and eMagazines have been performing exceptionally well but it is the academic content that continues to surprise us. Our growing user base and dominating publisher network has encouraged us to acquire more expert driven content for students. This alliance with Wiley Publication will inch us closer to realizing our dream of building Rockstand into a knowledge sharing platform”.
Mr Rishi Mohan Jha, Business Head, Rockstand said, “The Indian publishing industry is registering a growth rate of 15 percent annually and is estimated to grow nearly to $2 billion. The trend is only going to get stronger when you consider that the vernacular market is booming at 11 percent clip, outperforming the national space by a good 6 percentage points. Publishers have also taken a different route to reach out to readers, such as e-books and digital content. Though clocked at 3 percent, trends suggest that users are adapting to ebooks and emagazines faster than anticipated and this partnership with Wiley Publication will boost the same on a very large scale”.
Rockstand already has collaboration with over 600 publishers and a vast library of over 125,000 titles makes it one stop spot for avid readers. Rockstand has already touched over 450,000 devices and continues to accelerate in the online reading space. After dealing in trade titles and building a strong regional publisher network Rockstand now aims to build a strong academic base for students.
