Samsung launched its Galaxy Note 8 phablet few days ago and said it will begin pre-orders for the device for US, UK and Canada customers starting September 15. Although the South Korean tech firm did not reveal anything about its availability in India, a report from Best Smartphones Under seems to have some leads. According to the website, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will see the light of the day in India on September 11. Not only will the company launch the handset on September 11 but is also said to make it available for pre-orders. Although there is no word on when the handset will ship, we assume it could be reaching to customers sometime in October. The report besides revealing the launch date of the Galaxy Note 8, also claims the device to cost around Rs 74,900. It could be Amazon India exclusive. Nothing else is known about the device’s India availability. According to a tipster and a recent Tenaa listing, Samsung could be working on at least two more variants of the Galaxy Note 8. It could be working on Galaxy Note 8 models with 4GB RAM and 8GB RAM. The Tenaa listing spotted online shows Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with 4GB RAM. Rest of the specifications mentioned are the same as the current 6GB RAM model. The second piece of information comes from a tipster on Weibo, a Chinese microblogging website. The tipster says that Samsung is working on an ‘Emperor’ Edition of the Galaxy Note 8 which will come with 8GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage. Samsung launching a new RAM variant for its flagship smartphone is nothing new. The company, weeks after launching the Galaxy S8+ smartphone with 4GB RAM, introduced its 6GB RAM variant as well. The variant first hit the shelves in its home turf and later entered India.
