Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, Galaxy S6, is all set to be launched in March. Although there is no official confirmation from the company’s end, but rumours are doing rounds that Samsung Galaxy S6 will make its first appearance during at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, scheduled for March 2-6.
Samsung Galaxy S6 will take over as the new flagship from Galaxy S5 and is expected to be very different from its predecessor. Samsung Galaxy S5 was a major disappointment for the company as it missed the set sales targets. In a bid to improve the situation, Samsung unveiled Galaxy Alpha, which was company’s first smartphone with a metallic body. Samsung Galaxy Alpha was launched withing six months of the launch of Galaxy S5.
Samsung was appreciated for its efforts of shunning the plastic body. So, it is expected that the company will retain its concept of metallic body with Galaxy S6. Moreover, the company is likely to offer a 2K screen with Samsung Galaxy S6. If being ‘curvy’ is your thing, Samsung seems to be taking care of that for you. Lifting the curved screen design from the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, the company is reportedly fitting the same in Galaxy S6.
There is not much word about the processor that will be used in the smartphone but the reports suggest that the company is testing a top-end Qualcomm chip in the device. Other features likey to appear in Samsung Galaxy S6 are 20 MP shooter, 32 and 64 GB storage options, over 3,000 mAh battery and faster 4G radios. Since Galaxy S6 is crucial for the Korean smartphone maker to regain its lost market share, the specifications of the device are sure to beat some of the top-end offerings existing in the market.
