Samsung introduced a ‘Blue Coral’ colour variant of its Galaxy S7 edge smartphone in selected markets, back in November this year. And now, the company has launched the same coloured S7 edge in India.
Bearing a price tag of Rs 50,900, the Blue Coral Samsung Galaxy S7 edge will be available from December 15 at authorized Samsung stores, as well as on Flipkart and Samsung’s own e-store.
Until now, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge were only available in Silver, White, Gold and Onyx Black colour variants. The company also introduced a new Pink and Pink-Gold edition for the Galaxy S7 earlier this year.
The South Korean tech giant recently launched its Android 7.0 beta programme for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones. The programme is limited for users in the US, UK and Korea for now. As per the company, plans are on to extend the programme to China as well.
Last year, Samsung offered a similar beta programme just before the launch of Android Marshmallow OS on its Galaxy S6 and S6 edge handsets.
In order to access Nougat beta programme, users have to install the Galaxy Beta programme app from the Galaxy app store. Once downloaded, testers can examine the functionalities of various apps and provide feedback about the OS’ performance.
Unfortunately, users of the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition or Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition won’t be able to become a part of the programme.
Most likely, the new OS version will come pre-installed on the upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone(s).
A while back, LG also started rolling out the Android 7.1 Nougat update for all G5 users in Korea. The company claimed that the bugs encountered by customers (who were a part of the preview programme) have been fixed with the update.
