Nearly everything has been leaked about the upcoming Samsung flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+. From design to specifications, tipsters on the web have left nothing to imagination. Now, adding to that is the price of the two upcoming devices. A tipster has now leaked the prices of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ on the web, giving potential buyers a fair idea of how much they need to shed in order to buy them.
As mentioned by a tipster @rquandt, the Samsung Galaxy S9 (64GB) and the Galaxy S9+ (64GB) in Norway would cost 8790 NOK (roughly Rs 72,800) and 9790 NOK (roughly Rs 81,100). The price is said to be 1200 NOK and 1300 NOK above that of the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ . In addition to this, Clove, an etailer in the UK has listed the Galaxy S9 at 799 GBP (roughly Rs 72,200).
It is worth adding that the prices mentioned for the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ by the tipster and the UK e-commerce website, almost match with each other, giving the claims some more weight. It has also been mentioned that the handsets are usually priced more in the UK and Norway as compared to the US.
Although guessing the smartphones’ likely price in India is still a long shot, we can at least assume it to be priced higher than what the current flagship Galaxy S8 was launched at, Rs 57,900. This means that the Galaxy S9 may start at around Rs 60,000 or maybe Rs 65,000. The Galaxy S9+ could start from Rs 70,000.
Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones will be unveiled on February 25, 2018 during the MWC 2018 conference at Barcelona, Spain. Samsung has also sent out invitations for the same. Since the device is being launched in February, it is likely to hit the shelves in select markets in March.
