Samsung Has Launched The 2016 Edition Of Its 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab A

Samsung has come up with the 2016 edition of its 10.1-Samsunginch Galaxy Tab A. Samsung had earlier revealed the 7-inch version of the same tablet in an event. Th device has been officially launched in Germany, and there is no word yet on the availability of Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) in India and other countries. The tablet will apparently come in two variants, Wi-Fi and LTE, which have been priced at EUR 289 and EUR 349 respectively. Besides the 4G SIM support, both the versions feature same hardware specifications. The new tablet has a 10.1-inch TFT display which supports a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and weighs 525 grams.

Running the latest Android Marshmallow, the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. There’s 16GB of internal storage with support for microSD cards up to 200GB.

The tablet also has an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash along with a 2MP front camera. It is powered by a 7,300mAh battery.

On the other hand, the smaller Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a 7-inch TFT display witha resolution of 1280×800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1.5GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device stands at 8GB and can be expanded further up to 200GB via microSD cards.

The Wi-Fi only version of the tablet comes equipped with a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera. The company also claims that the rear camera of the device is capable of recording HD videos. The tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and micro USB as connectivity options.
