Samsung has recently launched Galaxy S6 edge+ during the Galaxy Unpacked 2015 event. Within a few days of its global release, the firm has introduced its latest flagship in the Indian market. Priced at 57,900, the Galaxy S6 edge+ will be available in India in just 32GB storage variant. The much-awaited device was unveiled at an event which took place in Delhi today.
The much-hyped device is expected to be available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium variants from August 28.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ sports a 14.47cm (5.7-inch) QHD Super-Amoled dual-edge display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Powered by a Samsung Exynos octa core (2.1GHz Quad + 1.5GHz Quad), 64 bit chip clubbed 4GB RAM (LPDDR4), the latest flagship comes with 32GB in-built storage with no microSD card slot. Packed with a 3000mAh battery, the device supports fast charging with wireless as well as wired chargers.
The phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with an optimised version of Samsung’s TouchWiz UI layer. It features a robust 16MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation, besides a 5MP front-facing camera along with improved video capabilities such as Steady Video and Video Collage Mode. Steady Video provides Video Digital Image Stabilisation, whereas, Video Collage Mode enables users to record short videos in multiple effects easily.
With the connectivity of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, MIMO(2×2), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, ANT+, USB 2.0, NFC, GPS/GLONASS, and 4G LTE Cat.9 / LTE Cat.6, the handset also comes with fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor. It provides additional features such as Apps edge and People edge.
