Android and iOS have already set their command over the market in such a way that almost everything else skips the user’s attention that they may deserve. In the same line we have got Samsung’s own Tizen operating system which has been one of the top choices in this regard. As per a recent report, Samsung may unveil its first ever Tizen-powered smartphone in India by December this year.
“The Korean major is expected to launch a smartphone that operates on the Tizen operating system in India within a month,” said sources with knowledge of its plans. Samsung had never considered India as a launch destination for the brand. But for this time it has planned to bring its products first to the South Asian nations. The decision perhaps came at the time when Samsung’s position came under threat in its own local market from the several homegrown brands.
Reports further reveal that the new Samsung device will sport 10.16-cm (4-inch) screen, 3.2MP camera and 512MB RAM. With all these features, the dual-SIM smartphone is expected to be affordably priced starting from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 15,000.
Now to remind you, the Tizen operating system is based on the Linux kernel and the GNU C Library, implementing the Linux API. Notably, this move is considered as South Korean giant’s attempt to reduce the dependence on the Google and to develop an utmost independent and different system for itself.
