Samsung Plans To Launch 128GB Variant Of Galaxy Note 7

Samsung launched its latest flagship device Galaxy Note 7 Samsungin India earlier this week. The company’s latest phablet houses 64GB of in-built storage which can be further expanded by microSD cards of up to 256GB capacity. Users will also receive 15GB of free cloud storage on Samsung Cloud.

Now the company has said that it is planning to introduce a 128GB version of the smartphone in Chinese market. According to a report by Korean Times, Samsung’s Mobile chief Dong Jin Koh said at a conference in Seoul that the company is plans to introduce 128GB version of the phone in the China.

He further added that Samsung will start rolling out Android Nougat 7.0 update for its smartphones in two to three months after gathering feedback from users.

There are also speculations that the company is building a 6GB variant of the smartphone . Recently, a Galaxy Note 7 variant with 6GB RAM appeared on a certification website in China. The 6GB RAM variant was spotted with 128GB of inbuilt storage. Listed on Chinese certification website Tenna, the particular Samsung Galaxy Note 7 model with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage supports dual-SIM setup. It is also expected to feature a hybrid SIM/microSD tray.

Those unaware, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD dual-edge SuperAmoled display of 1440×2560 pixel resolution protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Confirming endless prior leaks and rumours, the Note 7 includes both an iris scanner and a fingerprint sensor. In India, the device comes with an octa-core Exynos processor clubbed with 4GB RAM.

For imaging duties, the premium phablet has a 12MP dual-pixel rear-camera with Optical Image Stabilization, along with a 5MP front-facing shooter. The device comes with almost every possible connectivity feature, including 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth , GPS and USB Type-C. There’s also an array of sensors on-board, including barometer, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, hall sensor, proximity sensor and RGB light sensor.
