Sanjiv Walia Eminent To Punjab IT Association President Position
Punjab Association Of Computer Traders (PACT), which is an umbrella body of 18 different districts of Punjab and Chandigarh, recently conducted its first election, where all the exiting office-bearers of the last team were moved one position up, unanimously.
Sr. VP Sanjiv Walia was migrated to the President post, while Gurpeet Singh Sunny, the first president of PACT, was moved to the Chairman role for 2015- 17. The meeting was held in Pathankot. Similarly, Inder Mohan Bhasker from Jalandhar is Sr. VP post, Vikas Narang from Amritsar is VP, Prem Saini from Hoshiarpur new General Secretary, Rahul Garg from Sangrur is the Secretary. While Varinder Bansal from Batinda will continue to remain the treasurer and Gurpreet Singh Jagdev and Rajeev Khanna are the Media Advisors, Gurpreet Singh will be the head of wholeseller committee.
Sanjiv Walia is also holding the post of president of the Chandigarh IT Association.
Sanjiv Walia, while taking charge as the new President said, “I have worked extensively with the first team. It is a privilege for me to assume office as President of PACT. Since the formation of PACT, we have resolved several issues be it Jammu 0% VAT issue, service and support and MoU with the Microsoft and many more. Today, PACT is representing at the national association level– FAIITA and will be attending at the fourth conclave in Kolkata in September. PACT is in a unique position to drive collaboration with other states partners and associations. I look forward to driving key agendas for PACT that will strengthen its unique position as the apex IT channel body in India.”
