To foster the Central government’s determination to modernise the country’s traffic infrastructure and management, Shri Shankar Aggarwal, Secretary of Ministry of Urban Development, today inaugurated the the 4th edition of Traffic Infra Tech Expo 2015 and the first Parking Infratech 2015.
The expo showcases most comprehensive and definitive technology and system on traffic and parking. The exhibition also displayed a live demo of some key path breaking products.
Themed on “Envisaging safe and secure mobility”, the expo received full support from Ministry of Urban Development, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Central Road & Research Institute (CRRI), Asian Professional Security Association-India Chapter (APSA), Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), Builders Association of India (BAI), National Association of Realtors (NAR), Shopping Centre Association of India (SCAI).
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Shankar Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development said “Urbanisation and urban mobility are some of the most pressing issues facing the country today. I am sure that Traffic Infra Tech Expo will be instrumental in providing good knowledge and awareness on the issues and related solutions.”
“I am happy to be part of this expo and inaugurate it which is comparable to be the best in the world. The expo has grown over the years and gained importance and stature over the years”, he further added.
Asia’s largest International traffic show witnessed around 100 exhibitors from about 20 countries across the globe.
Apart from the exhibition, the expo also holds conferences and seminar to enhance awareness about traffic Management/ Solutions, Safety and integration of motorized vehicle with non-motorized vehicle and pedestrians. It will also cater to areas like Traffic Infrastructure, Mass Rapid Transport, Parking, Toll systems, ITS, Telematics and Environment.
The Expo is organised by Virtual Info Systems.
Decisions makers from concerned ministries, government departments, infrastructure companies, traffic police departments, and sectors like railways, airports, and public transport will came under one roof along with system providers, consultants and system integrators.
With the ever burgeoning traffic and parking woes that the country is facing, the expo brought together the much needed solutions to all the traffic troubles.
