IoT startup Smartron has launched its latest flagship smartphone . Dubbed tphone, the handset is priced at Rs 22,999 and will go on sale online in early June.
Talking about the specifications, the Smartron tphone features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1,080×1,920 pixels resolution. The display is scratch resistant, thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 layer on top of it.
The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device is 64GB and can be further expanded via a microSD card. The smartphone offers dual-sim functionality and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
Smartron tphone boasts a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 4MP front-facing snapper for selfies. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge.
The company has also incorporated superior noise cancellation technology in the smartphone. The same is made possible using a built-in 4-mic array, making voice conversations loud and clear at all times.
Smartron recently forayed into the Indian market with the launch of its t.book ultrabook convertible. Priced at Rs 39,999, the ultrabook features a 12.2-inch WQXGA IPS display with 2,560×1,600 pixels resolution. It is powered by 2GHz Intel Core M 64-bit processor and comes with 4GB of system memory. The convertible also supports SSDs of up to 128GB capacity.
