Snapdeal Announces A Website For Ubuntu Based Devices
Ubuntu powered phones have been a great success! Though it was not very easy to enter into a huge market like India, but the handsets managed to hit the bull’s eye. In the country where Windows, Android and iOS have already been fighting with each other since long, Ubuntu, the newest mobile operating system managed to penetrate through Snapdeal and impress the audience so much that the biggest online store finally decided to dedicate a website to it.
If we recall, Spanish smartphone manufacturer BQ had joined hands with Snapdeal to launch two Ubuntu handsets in India, namely Aquaris E4.5 and Aquaris E5, priced at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 13,499 respectively. The phones were launched in August and were sold out within 10 minutes.
And now Snapdeal is all set to woo the Ubuntu lovers by featuring a customized page which includes an array of Ubuntu-powered products including handsets, laptops and much more.
