Socomec has launched its first India made UPS Delphys MP Elite built in its plant in Gurgaon. The facility has capacity to produce 500 units annually. Currently, the factory is producing energy efficiency, power control and safety equipment.
“India is an important and strategic market and we count on it to increase our market share in the coming years. We have followed the developments in the critical power business in India. There is a growing demand in industrial sector and it requires more technologically advanced products and dedicated service. Delphys MP Elite is already an industrial proven product. In order to meet the local requirements we planned to produce it locally. This is an initial step and we will consider the feasibilities to produce other products in India,” said Olivier Tremouille, Managing Director, Socomec.
According to a Frost and Sullivan, manufacturing, telecommunications, IT and ITES contribute 34 percent of the total UPS market revenue. As per Socomec, Delphys MP Elite caters to these markets and ensures high quality energy and power protection to critical applications. The product range starts from 80 to 200 kVA.
The key features of Delphys MP Elite includes neutral-free IGBT rectifier with sinusoidal absorption, transformer base UPS, several new UPS architecture, and high output performances. Socomec has offices spread at 16 locations, and has 46 business partners, 50 active value added resellers and many channel partners and associates.
Socomec Innovative Power Solutions has ambitious growth plans for upcoming years. The company is targeting revenue of Rs 400 crore by 2016. According to the company, it has invested $5.13 million in India so far and has a strategy to target segments like manufacturing, building and construction, infrastructure, renewable energy and OEM.
