Sony Announces Bluetooth Speaker @ Rs 12,990

Sony has introduced its SRS-XB3 portable Bluetooth sony-srs-xb3-speakersspeaker featuring extra bass properties along with digital signal processor technology for rich acoustic sounds. The SRS-XB3 comes with a newly developed 48 mm large full-range speaker unit and features dual passive radiators.

The speaker features LDAC audio coding technology developed by Sony. It allows transmission of up to around three times the data volume of existing technologies for crisply-detailed, lag-free playback. The new model offers NFC and Bluetooth connectivity. The speakers can be connected to the USB-A port via a USB cable, allowing a smartphone to be charged when on low battery.

The speaker is equipped with splash proof properties to ensure that the device will withstand splashes of water from the shower, pool, kitchen or outdoors. The 8,800mAh lithium ion battery in the SRS-XB claims up to 24 hours of continuous payback time.

The SRS-XB3 weighs just 930gms and is 211 x 80 x 83mm in size and is available in Black, Blue and Red colours.

Sony had recently expanded its MDR range of Bluetooth headphones with the launch of XB650BT extra bass headphones. The Sony MDR XB650BT comes with a 30 mm driver unit for extra bass. The device claims to deliver 30 hours of battery backup and offers Bluetooth and NFC as connectivity options. The headphones come with cushioned headband and ear cups for better user experience. The device also comes with inbuilt mic for receiving calls.
