After introducing Xperia Z4 and C4, Japanese tech-giant Sony has announced a new handset in its home country. Named as Xperia A4, the phone has identical specifications as the Xperia Z3 Compact. The device comes with a 12cm (4.6-inch) Triluminos display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels.
The phone has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD. Xperia A4 relies on a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Powered by a 2600mAh battery, the device weighs 129 grams.
The smartphone’s connectivity options include Wi-Fi, FM radio with RDS, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS/ EDGE, A-GPS, 3G, 4G LTE, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. It sports a 20.7MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash and Exmor RS sensor as well as a 2.2MP front-facing camera to capture selfies. Though, the price has not been revealed yet, the mid-range handset is available for pre-orders via NTT Docomo in grey, pink, blue and white. The phone has just been introduced in Japan and there is no confirmation regarding its availability in other countries including India.
