Sony has introduced what it dubs as the world’s smallest and lightest with 20x optical zoom camera, Cyber-Shot WX300.
Priced at Rs. 19,990 Sony Cyber-Shot WX300 packs in an 18-megapixel EXMOR R CMOS sensor with a Sony G Lens. The camera comes with Optical SteadyShot that helps in clicking blur-free stills. As per Sony, the image stabilisation for this camera is twice as effective at high-zoom settings when compared to the previous-generation Cyber-shot HX20V with 20x zoom.
Given the connected lifestyle of today’s consumers, most camera companies are now launching Wi-Fi enabled cameras. Even Sony Cyber-Shot WX300 falls in the same category. Not only one can instantly share the pictures clicked through this camera, but you can also use your smartphone as a handy wireless remote to control the camera.
As far as the battery performance goes Sony Cyber-shot WX300 is capable of shooting up to 500 photos from a single battery charge, as per company’s claims.
Sony Cyber-Shot WX300 also packs in features such as Superior Auto and Picture Effect that aid in photography. The Superior Auto feature on this camera helps capture dimly-lit action and is also capable of recognising when the subject is in motion. The Picture Effect mode makes it easy to spice up photos, movies and panoramas with a range of artistic treatments like Toy Camera, Pop Colour, Soft High Key and Partial Colour.
Another interesting feature that is available on this camera is the Beauty Effect that automatically re-touches the faces in the photos to remove skin blemishes, widen half-closed eyes and whiten teeth.
The Sony Cyber-Shot WX300 will start retailing from mid-May.
