Sony is working on capitalizing on the growing demand for truly wireless earphones and therefore released two models in India. The WF-SP800N and the WF-XB700 will be made available in India in all retail stores and online stores. Sony has gone with an aggressive pricing strategy with WF-XB700 starting at Rs 9,990 and the WF-SP800N at Rs 18,990. Both the models come in various colors, but there is no active noise cancellation feature in the WF-XB700. They are also a bit larger than regular earpods, but that doesn’t seem to trouble many users. It also means that it has a more prominent driver inside for extra bass. Both these models also have extra bass added to them, which provides a surround sound experience.
The WF-SP800N offers active noise-canceling technology and has a much sleeker design. It will compete with Apple AirPods (2nd Gen), Samsung Galaxy Buds+, and the Jabra Elite 75t. Both of them have inbuilt google assistant and Alexa and have IP55 ratings, which means they are splash resistant and could function when you’re sweating in the gym or running while drizzling. The WF-XB700 has a battery life of 18 hours, including 9 hours of battery life of the earpods, including an additional 9 hours with the case. The WF-SP800N has a battery life of 18 hours with active voice cancelation o and can go up to 26 hours switched off. Both feature quick charge technology and can give 60 minutes of audio playback with 10 minutes of charge. The sound quality of WF-XB700 is pretty decent and works well in all environments while listening to music or streaming movies and even taking calls. It is an excellent product offering the guarantee of the best Sony experience at an incredible price range. It has a tiny physical button to control your media for playing or stopping and even skipping tracks. And on the right bud, you can access the voice assistant. The WF-SP800N uses smart technology and gestures to perform the same operations. Both of them are incredible products from a trusted brand and are worth the price.
