Mobile World Congress 2015 is just round the corner and the gadget companies are all prepped up to showcase their line-up of devices.
Sony, the consumer electronics maker, has just launched Xperia Z4 Tablet and now, the company is planning to unveil a new mid-range smartphone at the upcoming event in Barcelona. An AndroidOS report claims that Sony will now announce the new Xperia M4 Aqua at MWC 2015.If the reports are to be believed, Sony Xperia M4 Aqua will succeed the already existing Xperia M2 Aqua phone. The Xperia M2 Aqua was introduced in August 2014 and is waterproof and dust-proof device with IP65/68 rating. Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is likely to sport these features of its predecessor.
Sources quoted by AndroidOS claim that the smartphone will on Android 5.0 Lollipop. Since there is no official word from the company so far, all we can guess is that the smartphone will pack a 12.7-cm (5-inch) 720p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 2300 mAh battery. Sony Xperia M4 Aqua is likely to be available sometime in Q2 of 2015 for about GBP 200-250. Since MWC is just a few days away, we will have to wait and watch on the developments related to this smartphone.
