Having commenced the rollout the Android 7.0 Nougat for its Xperia XZ flagship smartphone last month, Sony has now started rolling out the newest Android version to a number of other devices in its Xperia line-up as well. According to a report by Xperia Blog website, the company is now rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat to Xperia Z3+ , Xperia Z5 series and the Xperia Z4 tablet . The update carries build number 32.3.A.0.376.
Android 7.0 Nougat brings new features such as multi-window support, improved battery life, enhanced messaging, better notification shade design and much more. Last month, an online report suggested that Sony is working on its next Xperia flagship smartphone that it’s likely to launch in 2018. The handset is expected to have an OLED display.
According to a report by Japanese publication Nikkan, Sony will be using OLED technology only for its premium Xperia range of smartphones and not all handsets. The report goes on to say that the next-generation Xperia will be the first smartphone to sport an OLED display. Along with this, the high-end Xperia smartphones will feature improved chipsets and better battery life.
