Sony Xperia XR Leaked Before Launch At IFA 2016

Sony’s next smartphone dubbed as the Xperia XR has been reportedly leaked. While the name of the device is yet to Sonybe confirmed, it comes with model number F8331. Sony seems to have worked on a new design but it has continued with power button-cum-fingerprint scanner at the side, similar to one found in Xperia Z5 and Xperia X. The smartphone is expected to feature a dual-LED flash setup at the back and will come with a USB Type-C port.

Sony has already confirmed to launch the Xperia XR smartphone at the upcoming IFA 2016 tradeshow in Berlin on September 1.

The Sony Xperia XR recently leaked in several online reports showcasing an image of the smartphone. The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.1-inch display and will run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor. Sony will most likely include support for 4K video recording in the Xperia XR.

Like other tech events, IFA Berlin will also be attended by major tech companies including Samsung, Motorola, Asus, LG and others.

xSony recently launched its Xperia XA Ultra smartphone in India at a price of Rs 29,990. The key highlight of the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is its 16MP front-facing autofocus camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS).

It features a large 6-inch Full HD display of 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The display is further enhanced by Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor, clubbed with 3GB of RAM.

Besides a 16MP front-facing camera, the Xperia XA Ultra sports a 21.5MP Exmor RS autofocus rear camera. The phone comes with 16GB of in-built storage, which can be further expanded via microSD cards of up to 200GB in size.
