Sony’s next smartphone dubbed as the Xperia XR has been reportedly leaked. While the name of the device is yet to be confirmed, it comes with model number F8331. Sony seems to have worked on a new design but it has continued with power button-cum-fingerprint scanner at the side, similar to one found in Xperia Z5 and Xperia X. The smartphone is expected to feature a dual-LED flash setup at the back and will come with a USB Type-C port.
Sony has already confirmed to launch the Xperia XR smartphone at the upcoming IFA 2016 tradeshow in Berlin on September 1.
The Sony Xperia XR recently leaked in several online reports showcasing an image of the smartphone. The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.1-inch display and will run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor. Sony will most likely include support for 4K video recording in the Xperia XR.
Like other tech events, IFA Berlin will also be attended by major tech companies including Samsung, Motorola, Asus, LG and others.
