The Android Jelly Bean smartphone comes with a 4.55-inch display, 13 MP camera and quad-core 1.5 GHz processor.
The Sony Xperia ZR, the smaller variant of the flagship Xperia Z, is now available for pre-order in India via online retailers such as Flipkart and Infibeam for a price of Rs. 29,990. The Infibeam listing says the rugged smartphone is estimated to be launched on June 15 while Flipkart lists third week of June as the estimated release date.
The Sony Xperia ZR, announced last month, features a 4.55-inch TFT display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. The smartphone comes with shatter-proof sheet on scratch-resistant glass. It sports 13MP camera with auto focus and full HD video recording (1080p) support. The camera has Sony Exmor RS for mobile image sensor. There’s a VGA front-facing camera as well.
The smartphone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor. It has 2GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage and expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card.
The smartphone comes preloaded with various Google apps including Google Play, Chrome, Voice Search and Google Maps.For connectivity, the Sony Xperia ZR supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot. Check out the full specifications of the smartphone here.
