In an effort to keep up with Microsoft’s Bing search engine, Google recently launched its own AI-powered chatbot called Bard. However, the launch wasn’t without its issues. Nevertheless, Google’s CEO, Sundar Pichai, is confident that the company is making rapid improvements.
One of the features the search engine team is currently working on is a conversational feature similar to Microsoft’s ChatGPT. According to Pichai, users will be able to engage in a conversation with an LLM-powered bot.
Despite Microsoft’s advancements in the field, Pichai sees this as a big opportunity rather than a threat, especially since Google holds over 93% of the total search engine market. If executed properly, the new feature could have a significant impact, even more so than the ChatGPT + Bing combo.
Although Pichai did not provide a specific timeline for the launch, it is expected to be in the near future given the company’s pressing need to stay ahead of the game.
